A 19 ft sliding gate for long, tight driveways

When cars park close or the driveway slopes, a swing gate gets in the way. This boxed 19 x 6 ft DIY sliding gate in black travels along the fence line on a steel track, so the opening stays usable. It is a hand-operated kit: none of the four versions comes with a motor.

Pick your configuration

• Frames only (no motor): frames, track with screws, wheels and stoppers, for infill you supply.
• With Profile 20 6ft slats: 84 pieces of the 2 in. x 3/4 in. Profile 20 slat for a fine-lined face.
• With Profile 40 8ft slats: 30 pieces of the 4 in. horizontal Profile 40 slat.
• With Profile 60 T&G 8ft slats: 20 interlocking pieces for a closed, private face.

Box contents

Vertical and horizontal frames (4 in. x 2 in.), a steel track with a total length of 40 ft plus screws, 2 wheels, a lock stopper and a gate stopper. The slat versions add one 6 in. roller guide; for the frames-only version the guide roller is a separate part. The aluminum is 6063-T6 with an AAMA 2604 super-durable powder coat.

Before you install

Posts are ordered on their own. You can pick a 3 in. square post, which can sit in a footing or against a wall, or a 4 in. square post set in concrete. Measure the opening, make sure there is level, clear ground along one side where the leaf will park, and note walls or utility boxes along the track line. If you may add automation later, tell the Globus Gates team now so posts and wiring can be planned.

No. Every configuration is manual.

Which slat should I choose?

Match the profile already on your fence. Profile 60 T&G gives the most privacy, Profile 20 the finest pattern.
