A finishing piece that stays on

An uncapped post fills with rainwater, leaves, dirt and the occasional insect. This black cap covers the top of a 2.75 in. square 2-way post with a flat profile, a cleaner alternative to a raised pyramid shape. Because it fastens with screws instead of pressing on, it holds tight through wind, vibration and daily gate use.

Fitting it

Confirm the post is 2.75 in. square with a 2-way layout.
Clear any shavings or dirt from the post top.
Set the cap on, lined up with the post and the panels on either side.
Drive the screws through the mounting points until snug. Stop there, since overtightening can mark the cap or the post finish.
Check that it sits level.

Check compatibility first

A 2.75 in. measurement alone does not guarantee a fit on every post. Compare the outside size of your post, its 2-way layout, where the panels connect, and your existing color. If you are replacing a cap, hold the old one next to the new one before fitting.

Care

Wash occasionally with mild soap, water and a soft cloth. Skip abrasive pads and harsh chemicals, rinse off pool chemicals or salt, and snug the screws if they ever loosen.

Is it suitable outdoors?

Yes, it is meant for outdoor aluminum fences and gates.

Will it fit a 2 in. or 4 in. post?

No. Only use it on a 2.75 in. post with the right layout.
