What it fastens

A sliding gate depends on a few small accessories: the guide roller keeps the leaf in line, the catcher receives it at the closed position, and U-brackets hold parts in place. The Bolt, Washer & Nut Set – Black is the fastener used for those three accessories. Loose or missing hardware here is worth fixing quickly, because these parts control how the gate travels and stops.

Where it shows up

Each HD sliding gate frame kit ships with a U-bracket, a 6 in. roller guide, a catcher and a stopper, plus the bolts, nuts and washers to mount them. Order this set when one of those accessories is being replaced or added.

Do not mix it up with the wheel bolt

The wheels on a sliding gate use their own fastener, the 5/16 in. x 2-1/2 in. hex head with washer. Keep this set for the accessories only.
