When one more hinge helps

Wide and tall gates put more load on the hinge side. The HD 4 ft x 6 ft frame kit ships with one pair of these hinges; the larger HD 6 ft x 6 ft and 6 ft x 8 ft frames come with three, and several 6×6 ft DIY gate kits include an extra HD hinge. Buying hinges by the piece covers those cases:

About self-closing

The hinge has a self-closing option. If the gate must close on its own every time, for example at a pool or pet area, add a hydraulic spring designed for self-closing. Check local code on gates that must close and latch on their own.

Installation notes

Count the hinges on your gate before ordering. When matching existing hardware, compare style and finish first, and ask the Globus Gates team about fit if your gate came from elsewhere. Hinges fix to the hinge post, for example the 2 in. hinge post sold with its matching L-side post. Finish the latch side with the HD double sided latch.
