Surface mounting made simple

The 2.75 2-way Post Baseplate in black lets you fix the 2.75 2-way post to an existing surface. It is the right pick for wall topper runs, fences on a concrete slab or hardscape, and pedestrian post spots where surface mounting fits the layout better than a footing.

Gate positions

For gates, the 2.75 2-way post is for wall mount only, on gates up to 3 ft wide. A wider gate, or one that stands on its own, needs one of the square posts; the Globus Gates team can help you choose.

Fasteners and companion parts

No fasteners come with the plate. The 3/8 in. x 3-3/4 in. wedge anchor is the recommended fastener when a base plate goes onto concrete, and #14 x 2 in. stainless steel screws are used for the 2-way post. Pick anchors that suit your surface and follow local code. For the post itself, start from the boxed 2.75 2-way post kit or its end-post counterpart; either one supplies the post, a press cap, L-brackets and the spacers that sit at the bottom.

A steel version of this plate is also offered. Both fit the same post; send us your layout if you are unsure which to use.

Does it need a level surface?

Yes, a sound, level base keeps the post plumb and the slats straight.
