A small post with plenty of uses

The 2 x 2 in. Square Post 6 ft – Black belongs to the 2 in. HD post system. Its slim profile works where a bigger post would look bulky, on residential or commercial fences, gates, railings and other structural jobs. Because it is aluminum, it is light enough to handle alone and will not warp, rot or rust.

How to set it

Mark where each post goes.
Dig holes deep enough to hold the post firmly.
Place the post and check it is level and lined up.
Fill with concrete and let it harden.
Attach fence panels, the gate or other parts.
Recheck alignment and adjust.

A post cap closes the top and tidies the look.

The 2x2 in. profile is also the basis of the hinge and L-side posts used on DIY walk-through gates, so it pairs naturally with that system.
