One kit per bay
Adding up every slat, bracket, post and spacer separately is slow. This kit bundles the parts for one 8 x 6 ft bay of Alu 40 fencing, so you order one per bay and add posts only where a run starts or stops. Slats sit horizontally between 2.75 2-way posts, held by L-brackets, while stacked spacers hold a uniform space up the full height.
Box contents
- Slat box: 16 Alu 40 slats, 8 ft each
- Post kit box: one 8 ft 2-way post, one press cap, fourteen L-brackets, four bottom spacers (1 in. or 2 in., with screw bush) and eight black #12 x 2 in. self-tapping screws
- Spacer box: thirty 1/2 in. spacers
The post kit is made in the USA.
About the slat
Alu 40 measures 4 x 0.75 in. with a 0.047 in. wall. The wide face reads as calm bands rather than busy stripes, and the half inch gap breaks up views while letting light and wind through.
Planning a run
- Divide the total length into 8 ft bays and mark ends, corners and gates.
- Each kit holds one post, so a straight run needs one more to close it. At free ends, the matching end post kit adds a cover strip.
- On concrete slabs, a baseplate for the 2-way post is available.
- Ask Globus Gates before shortening a bay below 8 ft.
FAQ
Can I get a tighter gap?
Yes. Alu 40 allows a minimum of 3/8 in. using a separate spacer pack, though the slat count may change.
Is there a matching gate?
Yes, Alu 40 walk gate kits share the slat profile.
