The ALU FLOAT™ Architectural Cantilever Patio System is aimed at outdoor kitchens, pool lounges, fire pit seating, restaurants and modern homes where posts along the front would get in the way of furniture or views. The motorized louvers move between open sky, filtered shade and a closed roof as the weather changes.

Package sizes

Starter: 8x10, 10x10 or 10x12 ft, for compact patios and grill areas
Standard: 12x12, 12x16 or 12x20 ft, for larger residential patios
Large: 16x16, 16x20 or 20x20 ft, for big living areas, rooftops and hospitality spaces

Structural parts

Posts: 6x6, 7x7 or 8x8 in., in 10, 12 or 14 ft lengths
Inner base plates: 5-3/4 in. for 6 in. posts, 6-1/2 in. for 7 in. posts
U-channel, 3 in. nominal (2.125 by 3.147 in.)
Beams: 2x8 or 2x10 in., in 16, 20 or 24 ft lengths

Roof package

It uses 8 inch blades with pivot and link bars, pins, starlocks and washers, a motor with bracket, a transformer and a multi-channel remote. A 360 degree weather strip and gutter layout are planned with the roof.

Options to discuss

Rain sensor, app control, LED channel, strip and recessed lighting, a beam for recessed lights, ceiling fan planning and custom powder coat colors.

Step 1

Measure the opening and check what the product mounts to.

Step 2

Assemble the pre-cut parts with the included hardware. No welding.

Step 3

Set, level and fasten, then fit any lock or accessories.
