The fix for one bad board

Mower strikes and falling branches happen. You get one 8 ft ALU 40 board taken from box stock, matching the profile and finish of the boards already on your fence, so a repaired panel still looks uniform.

Where it fits

Since our boxed Alu 40 8x6 kit uses this exact board, it works with the 2.75 2-way post system and its L-brackets and spacers. At just over four pounds, one person can handle it easily.

Swap a scratched or bent board
Raise or lower a panel by adding boards
Supply infill for a custom gate on one of our aluminum frames

Swapping a board

On a stacked fence, the posts, brackets and surrounding boards all hold each piece in place, so a swap usually means unstacking from the top down. Keep the removed spacers in sequence to preserve an even gap, and follow your system's instructions. Not sure how your fence went together? Describe it to us first.

Should I buy singles or a carton?

Singles make sense for a board or two. For a full 6 by 8 ft section, the 16-piece box is simpler.

What gap should I keep?

Alu 40 lists a minimum gap of 3/8 in.

Installation

Step 1

Measure the opening and check what the product mounts to.

Step 2

Assemble the pre-cut parts with the included hardware. No welding.

Step 3

Set, level and fasten, then fit any lock or accessories.
