The ALU SPAN™ Architectural Beam Patio System suits homeowners, designers and builders who want definition overhead without a fully closed roof. Rows of aluminum beams create a steady rhythm of sun and shade, and the beam spacing can be reviewed for your project. Where some weather cover is useful, a polycarbonate top can be planned while leaving the beam structure visible.

Package tiers

Starter: 10x10, 10x12 or 12x12 ft, for side yards, garden seats and compact patios
Standard: 12x16, 12x20 or 16x16 ft, for dining spaces and poolside shade
Large: 16x20, 20x20 or 24x24 ft, for commercial patios and hospitality seating

Main components

Square posts of 6, 7 or 8 in., 10 to 14 ft long
Inner base plates sized for 6 in. and 7 in. posts
3 in. U-channel
Beams of 2x8 or 2x10 in., up to 24 ft

How your package comes together

Pick the tier closest to your size, then confirm beam direction and spacing, color, and whether the structure stands alone or attaches to the house. Next decide between an open roof and the polycarbonate option. Large layouts may need engineering review.

Optional extras

LED channel, strip and recessed lights, a beam for recessed lighting and ceiling fan planning.

FAQ

Will an open beam roof keep rain off?

It is mainly for shade and airflow. Ask about the polycarbonate top if rain cover matters.

Is this a fixed kit?

No. It is a material package shaped around your actual dimensions and layout.

Assemble the pre-cut parts with the included hardware. No welding.

Step 3

Set, level and fasten, then fit any lock or accessories.
